Everyone has a great reaction when they see their copy of this edition made for Brandt's centenary year.

Beautifully bound, your personally numbered copy is professionally printed by one of the world's top printing houses on acid free, matte paper.

Our top quality paper takes ink perfectly to allow the richness of the hallmark Brandt blacks to jump out from the page, yet stay vibrant for many years.

An obsession brought to life

For half his career Brandt obsessed with photographing nudes. His payoff was that he is credited with taking the genre into a new area mainly thanks to his use of a small aperture wide angle Kodak camera, enabling him "to see like a mouse a fish or a fly". The inevitable warps distortions and abstractions that this produced impart an eerie beauty and surrealist feel to his pictures.

Small run

Only 1,000 copies are declared. Mark Haworth-Booth, former senior curator & photographic historian at London's Victoria & Albert Museum has written an eloquent introduction to each section and as a lifelong expert on Bill Brandt, brings these once radical pictures to life once more. We have used rare vintage prints and negatives from the Archive, and the book is produced to an exacting standard, with over 140 duotone images.
