General information

The Bill Brandt Archive continues the business of the Estate of Bill Brandt. It has been under the same family ownership since 1995. John-Paul Kernot, step-grandson of Bill Brandt and director of the company, runs the business directly and is a specialist in the work of Bill Brandt.

This website is the primary online resource for information about Bill Brandt and photographs by Bill Brandt.

We have many items here that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

We have a good collection of information about Brandt here, and are continually expanding the information. If you see something missing please let us know.

Where are we?

We do not maintain a retail gallery space so visiting is by appointment only. We will be happy to meet with gallery owners and bona fide collectors and museums to discuss existing collections and acquisitions. Alternatively, we will be happy to arrange a meeting with one of the galleries holding works for us on consignment in either London or New York.

Acquisition policy

We are always looking to acquire work by Bill Brandt expensive or inexpensive, so please get in touch if your collection is changing.

Framing

We do not undertake any framing as this is very specialised but are happy to introduce you to our man at John Jones in Finsbury Park, London for framing. He will arrange the perfect frame for any of your pictures whether it be a photograph or not.
